What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the experience of noticing the sensations in our body and observing the thoughts. It's the practice of remaining in the present moment.
The sensations in our bodies can provide us information on how we are feeling about a certain situation. We are not typically taught how to respond to emotions, so instead we tend to ignore them. This leads to emotional buildup, eventually causing panic, depression, and anxiety.
We will work on building body awareness to better identify emotions you are experiencing in the moment. Increasing emotional tolerance leads to a more effective way of experiencing feelings that arise from stress and difficult experiences.
Emotions can be complex and some can be distressing. However, emotions are an essential part of understanding how we feel in situations and expressing these emotions are critical to maintaining relationships.
I will provide the tools you need to feel more present in the moment.
As you practice mindfulness, you will feel relief from frustration and anxiety.
You will feel more connected to your body and your thoughts as you gain a better understanding of yourself.
